Yea wats up you guys i was wondering if anyone cud tell me wat wud be the best motor to put in my 2000 ext cab chevy to give it better performance cuz my current motor have alot of miles on it and i planned on replacin it an since i have no clue about wat motors can go in to wat trucks i figure i wud ask someone who did i was thinkin of maybe gettin a ss engine but idk if it wud go right in ??? any help wud be great and thanx

yes a gm 6.0 will drop right in.
i think you can even use the same wiring harness.
you will need to tune or a pcm for it.

if you get an iron block LQ9 (6.0 litre) from the same year it would be straight plug and play. Easy swap if you get the motor with the pcm.
