about 3 lbs per week and 1.5 inches taller per week. his rib cage expands about an inch.5 per week too. hopefully his growth slows down here soon or he might get some joint problems. he's already on a controlled growth formula and is growing this fast.
here is a full grown version of dozer...he's an american bulldog.

thanks...hopefully he doesnt end up looking as ugly as the dog i posted haha. at a year he should be about 105 lbs....thats when he stops growing tall/long and starts to fill out!!! his dad was a year old when he was bread at 105. his mom was 2 but females of this breed are usually about 75 lbs. his mom was 95 lbs of muscle. itll be interesting to see how big he ends up getting.
the funny part is that his little sister is a minerature maltise at the whopping full weigh of 5lbs! the biggest dog ive ever owned was 18 lbs. he was bigger than that at 12 weeks old....im in a little over my head haha... i already have him enrolled in obedience and so far he's been the perfect dog (for his age). its hard to remember that he's "still a puppy" when he's bigger than any dog ive had. a bigger dog with the attention span of a nat hahaha
ill probably bring him out to one of the meets as part of his socalization.

if you want a smaller dog from the bulld dog family i recomend a boston terrier. my parents have one and she is SMART! as smart as any rat terrior or boston terrior youll ever meet. she is about 15 lbs and they are very active. long walks or lots of land IMO. they love to hunt, love kides and my parents dog especially loves other dogs. she is so playfull with puppies but if another dog really really picks a fight she WILL finish it. another awesome dog is the french bulldog but they are EXPENSIVE! the cheapest i saw from a reputable breeder was 15oo bux.
one problem ive found with american bulldogs is their skin and stomaches. usually when one goes wrong you see it in the other. if i give my dog chicken or corn it breaks out in hives and will shit like a goose/puke. the food bill is expensive too. at 4 months old he's eating about 5 cups of chow per day of premium food. thats not including his treats to train with.ill bring him out soon. great dog so far but they require alot of work to socialize and train(skittle brainz)

yeah he will eventually outgrow that pitbull look. his head will get boxier and he will be alot bigger than a pit all over.

Stew,
Might try switching him to a large breed puppy food. That should prevent him from having the joint problems. As far as growing up fast, he'll do that for a while. My Dozer was 20 pounds at 7.5 weeks old, and was averaging about 5 pounds a week til he was about 14 weeks old. He slowed down ALOT since then. Right now he's almost 1 year old and about 24" tall to his shoulders, and about 70 pounds, but he's just now really starting to fill out and put mass on.
They have that pitbull look til about 6 months or more.
this pic is a few months old, he's actually grown quite a bit since this. In about the 9th-11th month he grew at least 2-3 inches taller and about 10 pounds.
