Possible Freeport/Surfside Meet

Well guys, I was wondering if I could suggest a possible new, not so often meet this winter??

So I am home for the holidays and wanted to get together with a crew from TTS. After hearing about the mishap at the 2920 meet this past Friday, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in holding a meet actually on a beach.

Down here in the Freeport/Surfside Area there are a few "open to the public" beachs. One is kind of gay as in you can only park up against the dunes, and have to cross a "road" to get to the water, and the other, well you can basically drive through the water is you want to be cleaning every part of your truck later. The sand is very well packed in, so you lowered 2wd's need not worry. My 4.2 has been down ther plenty of times without problems.

So I was just wondering who would be interested, and what day & time would work for everyone??

Well when are you looking at taking it in? If I can generate enough interest, night happen this weekend, cuz then we have Xmas, I will be gone to Alabama and then hunting the next weeks or so after Xmas. Hope to do it this weekend though.

That's kool. I have done it plenty of times. But not sure how that area looks now due to Ike. A lot of houses were close to the water there...

We have done g-town cruises before. They are always pretty fun. Just with Ike tearin it up kinda have to wait for them to get it all back up again. We usually do this around april. I'm still doen to go out and meet everyone.

im in galveston every sunday for church.... its not as bad down in g-town as everyone thinks. my friend that owns magic carpet golf has been back up and running since late sep. restaurants are open down there and everything. maybe not every single one but a lot of them are back up and runnin. you can still get out to cherry hill on the east end and im really not sure how far we could get down on the west end.

i cruised the seawall from one end to the other yesterday. there is a historical marker where the balinese room used to be and its pretty much comin back strong out there in galveston. cherry hill was the same. i stopped and took some pics out there yesterday too. i will post those later

i went to galveston yesterday to fish....and adrian isnt lying lol i saw him on the way to galveston lol.....didnt get much fishing done since everything was blown away but its seriously not as bad as everyone thinks
